Every Shopify store can sort its catalog by “best selling”. Store Inspector reads that order, so the ranking is the store’s own, based on its real sales.
It works on almost all Shopify stores. A few stores turn off their public product feed; for those you still see the theme and apps. On non-Shopify sites it shows the marketing and payment tools it detects.
